Saturdays, January 5, 12, 19 from 10:00am - 12:30pm
Instructor: McLean Fletcher
For members 16+ at LEVEL 1
WHAT IS IT?
Pull together strong monologues for stage auditions that’ll showcase YOU!
HOW WILL IT WORK?
There will be homework! The first class will be all about the right monologue -- what is it, how do you find it, and how many you should have, as well as practicing pulling them out of scripts. In the second class, you’ll bring in some options and start to work on performing them, including getting feedback on how well they work for you. At the final session, you’ll come in with one or more monologues fully memorized, which you’ll work on with in class with McLean.
WHAT LEVEL ACTOR IS THIS FOR?
This is designed for members who identify as Level 1. On-camera actors are welcome to join the class, but the focus is specifically on STAGE acting. All monologues will come from plays. Please be at least 16 years old.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
Actors new to the industry will learn the essentials of choosing and performing a monologue, and will end up with at least one viable audition piece.
