(in the church on the corner of 16th & S St)
AC members who are industry newcomers, with very little or no experience acting.
WHAT IS IT?
This is a presentation and discussion exclusively for AC members who have yet to venture seriously into acting, who have only done a few tiny roles here and there, or who are brand new to acting as a profession.
HOW WILL IT WORK?
We'll cover the basic industry expectations for professional acting both on camera and on stage. What materials do you need? What is the essential vocabulary that you must understand? What are the standards you must meet and the work ethic you have to have in order to be considered a professional actor?
WHAT LEVEL ACTOR IS THIS FOR?
This is for members who joined the Actors' Center to get an introduction to the world of acting and being an actor.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
You'll be armed with the foundational knowledge to present yourself as an actor to industry representatives. Ultimately, how you choose to put yourself out there is, of course, your choice. But if you are not clear on what the basic standards are, regardless of whether or not you want to act on-camera or on stage, then this presentation is for you!
