After receiving Russian names actors will be given and will be guided through clear and comprehensive dialect packets and be coached to decode, explode, score, physically and vocally embrace, understand and attack this gorgeous dialect by unpacking the black and white rules as well as exploring the grey for: vowel sounds, consonant variations, mask/body/essence, Russian "isms," musicality, cadences and rhythms and more.
Actors will be able to score lines of script from what they learned going through the packet with Adrienne, participate in inspiring illuminating exercises, learn a little actual Russian and culture, embrace guided improvisations and share (in a safe workshop space ) monologues and sides with integrated dialects! Before practicing sides, all actors will score their scripts from what they have learned from their packets and the exercises.
Adrienne will provide all the sides and monologues from top scripts where Russian dialects are/have been required.
Please arrive vocally warmed up, bring water, a pencil and a note book, feel free to bring lunch or a snack, and business cards show postcards to share with other artists!
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

"Adrienne was knowledgeable and fun to work with. She met us where we were and was able to improvise/tweak her lessons on her toes based on our interests, strengths, and questions. Her teaching was clear and effective, and the classroom environment she cultivated felt playful and warm. She was also generous with offering resources for further accent work, including over email between the two sessions."
"Excellent workshop. Gave us really good academic and collateral information, background, and history so we could deliver more than just an accent. We also had many opportunities to implement what we learned for greater retainment. Outstanding class. Wish it were longer."
